My new job at Jobvite has given me an excellent opportunity to learn about Facebook App development as a platform. The entire application is done using their canvas approach (meaning in an iframe) and is completely client-side for greatest performance. Looking for work at a quality company or startup? Have friends who are looking that you could recommend? Is your company trying to hire new employees? Share is an excellent tool that emphasizes employee referrals for locating quality candidates.
And best of all, you don't have to install it to completely apply for a job right in the app!
My involvement was fairly large, I created a new code organization convention for our javascript, html and css to keep up with our unruly size, and built an app-wide library that abstracted most of the common functionality. I was also heavily involved in instructing my colleagues on best practices and auditing their code to keep up with quality standards.
Although development still continues, I have been relocated to their Phoenix project to help them rebuild their primary application in a new more efficient codebase, while bringing over the standards and practices we developed while working on Share.
